“It was a dream for years to design a guitar that included some of my favorite vintage features, but in a modern spirit and aesthetic quality. After two years of study and refinement, the Silver Sky is my idea of how the electric guitar should be made. – John Mayer.
PRS John Mayer Signature Price
The new PRS Silver Sky is the result of a close collaboration between Grammy winner John Mayer and Paul Reed Smith. After more than two and a half years of preparation, here is the PRS John Mayer Silver Sky, a vintage instrument that still remains akin to a PRS. Attention! This is not a Fender Stratocaster John Mayer but a PRS to all intents and purposes.
This model has all the elements that John and Paul have always preferred on vintage instruments of 1963 and 1964. An ideal version of a single coil guitar.
For the John Mayer Signature price yet to be defined, but visit our website to stay up to date. We will post all the info as soon as possible.
John Mayer Pickups
Among the main features of the PRS John Meyer you can find a reverse paddle, vintage keys, a bolt-on neck, a fingerboard made to John’s specifications, and a trio of special John Mayer pickups single coil PRS 635JM. These pickups have a full, round sound, with high frequencies that are never shrill or glassy.
René Martinez, Mayer’s guitar assistant, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana, and Prince, was fascinated by the familiar feel of this guitar. Especially the neck, sliding up and down, bending, everything is fine. And the pickups sound great, with five different sounds.
PRS founder Paul Reed Smith says that everything about this guitar has to work best. It has to sound in tune, stay in tune, play beautifully and without humming. Those who play it must feel immediately at home.
John Mayer Signature Italy
